Final Digipak
This is our final digipak which has been reduced from 6 panel to 4 panel. I believe it looks better than the 6 panel and am happy with the final outcome.
Evaluation question 3- What have you learnt from your audience feedback?
Through the audience feedback that we received, me and my group learnt a lot on how to be more successful in reaching our correct target audience. A member of the audience called 'bigboirl' commented on our rough edit saying that the track is too long and it drags, therefore we resolved this by cutting down the length of the track so that it doesn't feel repetitive. Meeting fan and target audience requests and considering their opinion is vital because they are the people who the artist makes the music video for so it's a bit pointless if fans are not happy or satisfied. Another member of the audience called 'Jeremina' left a comment on the rough edit saying that the scenes at the park should be cut shorter so we therefore cut from a park scene to the artist standing against a wall singing and then back to the park scene. This avoided any type of repetition going on within the music video.
The response and feedback we got for our website was very good. The member from the audience was very appreciative and was very impressed by the standard and quality of our website which is always a positive thing to hear after working very hard!

Above is some feedback we received on our digipak. This helped us as it aided us with making our final decision as to whether we should keep a 4 or 6 panel digipak. From the comments on Facebook, we cansee that many people from our target were impressed with the colours and the layout.
Overall, I believe that the audience feedback has taught all of us a great amount. It has helped us to secure our decisions about many aspects of our music video as well as ancillary tasks. The comments given by people were very useful and constructive. Personally, I feel that by gaining audience feedback I have realised that others opinions should be valued more than your own in such cases- especially the music industry or media industry as a whole!

Initial Digipak idea
This was our first digipak. As a group we all decided that we will create a 6 panel digipak and chose the appropriate images together. However, it didn't work out as well as we expected and the images on the panels were beginning to look very forced- they had no real correlation. We then decided to reduce the size of the digipak to a 4 panel instead.

Richard Dyer Star Theory
Richard Dyer’s Star Theory is the idea that icons and celebrities are constructed by institutions for financial reasons and are built to attract a specific audience. Dyer’s theory is usually broken down into the following three sections:
- Audience and Institutions
- Constructions
- Hegemony
Audience and Institutions – Stars are made for financial purposes alone. The institution they are working with then moulds the stars image around the target audience in order to make maximum profits., e.g. Katy Perry
Constructions – The star is built for an audience and is not an actual person (what seems to be). The star is built specifically with someone signature to them that differentiates them from other stars, for example Lady Gaga’s outrageous fashion or Katy Perry’s bright hairstyles.
Hegemony – Many fans can relate to the star because they have a factor which they admire about them or share with them. Many fans then develop the admiration into a form of idolization which can often be so intense that fans attempt to copy many habits of the star regardless of whether they are good or bad, these habits can also become trends.

How women are represented in the media
This video is showing how women are represented in the media and how they 'failed' in the media in 2013. Within the video, you can see at 0:39 that the girl modelling is changed so much during the process of editing- she is a 'man-made' product as her weight is reduced rapidly, her skin colour is edited, she is wearing a wig, her facial features are placed differently. This shows that the media doesn't appreciate women for what they really are, rather women are objectified and seen as the subservient sex.

Link between digipak and website
In order to create a link between our ancillary tasks, we have decided to match the colour of the logo on our website with the lip colour of our artist. This shows a constant trademark of our artist and shows that the colour scheme has been thought about thoroughly.
