Evaluation question 3- What have you learnt from your audience feedback?

Through the audience feedback that we received, me and my group learnt a lot on how to be more successful in reaching our correct target audience. A member of the audience called 'bigboirl' commented on our rough edit saying that the track is too long and it drags, therefore we resolved this by cutting down the length of the track so that it doesn't feel repetitive. Meeting fan and target audience requests and considering their opinion is vital because they are the people who the artist makes the music video for so it's a bit pointless if fans are not happy or satisfied. Another member of the audience called 'Jeremina' left a comment on the rough edit saying that the scenes at the park should be cut shorter so we therefore cut from a park scene to the artist standing against a wall singing and then back to the park scene. This avoided any type of repetition going on within the music video.

The response and feedback we got for our website was very good. The member from the audience was very appreciative and was very impressed by the standard and quality of our website which is always a positive thing to hear after working very hard!

Above is some feedback we received on our digipak. This helped us as it aided us with making our final decision as to whether we should keep a 4 or 6 panel digipak. From the comments on Facebook, we cansee that many people from our target were impressed with the colours and the layout.

Overall, I believe that the audience feedback has taught all of us a great amount. It has helped us to secure our decisions about many aspects of our music video as well as ancillary tasks. The comments given by people were very useful and constructive. Personally, I feel that by gaining audience feedback I have realised that others opinions should be valued more than your own in such cases- especially the music industry or media industry as a whole!
